Eyewitness: Minnesota Voices on Climate Change Discussion Guide
Eyewitness: Minnesota Voices on Climate Change elevates the human experience of climate change through personal narrative and creative expression. It serves as a tool for facilitating conversations with local policymakers to inspire and strengthen their support for climate and clean energy solutions.
This discussion guide is to help navigate stories and spark conversations about climate change and its personal influence on communities. Educators, policymakers, book club keepers, parents, students, activists and other community members can actively engage audiences with the help of a clear structure and process to start asking questions.
This guide can be read as a whole or in parts to best fit the conversation at hand. The structure is laid out to echo the themes in the book, with a summary of why each theme relates to the issue of climate change, followed by questions to engage the audience during reflection. For each theme in the guide, there will be a sample story to help demonstrate and brainstorm questions to aid whichever story is chosen for discussion.
