Submit Your Climate Story
Write your Climate Story
A climate story is a personal account of climate change from your experiences and observations, ranging from despair to hope, from loss to empowerment. Sharing climate stories personalizes climate change in a way that connects communities rather than divides them from one another.
If you are unsure where to begin, read through our storytelling guide for background reading and tips on how to write your climate story.
How to Submit Your Story
For written submissions: fill out the form below, OR upload as a Word or Google Doc file. For either method please also attach 1-3 photos to accompany your story.
If you would like to digitally record your story as a video or audio submission, follow our instructions to submit through our Video Ask tool.
Written Climate Story Submission Guidelines:
We recommend climate stories be at least 300 words; they can be as long as you like. We also request you include 2–3 photographs that represent your story. Your submission may be featured on Climate Generation’s online storytelling collection.
