Creative Director, 100% Campaign

Ashley Fairbanks (Asiniiwiikwe) is Anishinaabe from the White Earth Nation, and is the Creative Director of the 100% Campaign. Ashley has over 15 years of experience in electoral politics, activism, and creative storytelling—as a designer, public artist, and professional communicator. She served as the Creative Director on Julián Castro’s presidential campaign, Ilhan Omar’s campaign communications and digital director, and Erin Murphy’s communications director. She is a passionate organizer for issues like stopping the Line 3 pipeline, indigenous rights, and police abolition. In her work for the 100% Campaign, Ashley has worked to tell climate stories that center on the personal and human side of the climate crisis. She has been a Aspen Ideas Fellow, Rockwood Techquity Fellow, and Humphrey School Community Policy Fellow. She splits her time between Minneapolis and San Antonio, Texas, where she lives with her partner and tries not to kill all her plants.

I want to bring people to take climate action with joy and optimism.
